Sure! Here's what I used and really liked. I'll follow up in a few with the tutorials I found most helpful, I have to dig for them a little.

Curler set

plus extra jumbo size rollers

With these clips (I ditched the covers that came with the set, at the suggestion of youtube)

As a girl, I would think about a large round brush that I could use with a hairdryer. Basically take your large round bristled brush and while your hair is the tiniest bit damp use it and the hairdrier to create that wave.
