haha, I do it like... maybe once every 4-6 months.
this is what I use. It's super concentrated so you only need like a capful for a whole bong. It's also really awesome at removing adhesive & stuff like that. I used it to clean packaging tape that had been on some crystal tumblers for 20+ years. Soaked it in a bucket of some of this stuff diluted with water, and it wiped off with a paper towel.

I have Super Reds for my longboard. Cleaned them after 2 years and was able to get a minute of spinning. I have normal Reds too but haven't broke them in yet at all.
