I don't know.

Everyone here is suggesting these higher end ones. I did that for a while, but if you're like me, I try to shave every 3-5 days or so, at least once a week. With that kind of use, it's inevitably going to break down quick. Nobody wants to burn through expensive $50+ razors that quickly.

I do like how large that Remington brand one you posted is. It gets tedious when you're doing this routinely. Over and over and over. So that'll be a plus.

But frankly, recently, I went out of town on a biz. trip and we only had one debit card between me and the wife, -- so I just took $100 cash. I really wanted to shave before I had to show up in some meetings, my hair was long and badly straggly, and didn't want to deplete my food money. So I just hopped an uber to the nearest Wal-Mart and bought a $10 no-name brand one and I'm surprised how well it's worked so far.

I think, as far as electrics go, to some degree, cheap and disposable might be the way to go. Yes, it's a bit clunky, but it's not terrible. For the price difference, the more expensive ones will give you a lot smoother shave, but the cheap ones aren't THAT bad.

Everyone is different, but the ones /u/Zubster recommended. I don't know how someone would shave their head with those things. Those, in my head, are face razors. It seems like it would take a LOT of time to shave your head every few days with one of those.

And, for those type, you DEFINITELY HAVE to have your hair very short already before attempting to use one. You can't just stick one of those to 1/4" hair and expect that it's going to not start ripping hair straight from the follicle.

Maybe I'm wrong. I could be very wrong, in fact. But my suggestion, if you are just a beginner, why not just invest $20 in a cheap-o ... get the hang of it (and make sure it's going to be something you want to keep up). Figure out what kind of razor you want to use. And then go from there... Maybe something like this? This is about the cheapest one I could find that was on Amazon and also prime.

You can get some from a Wally World for about $12 that will work better than you think. Not a long-term solution, but, like I said!
