Currently using a i7-5820K

I mean, budget is whatever, let's say $3000 if you need a number on it

Edit: Case is a Corsair Obsidian 750D Full-Tower Case (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00YJJBFIO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

Yea, the budget for my CPU/GPU went towards RAM/Case/Mobo

I have as previously said, 16GB @ 2666Mhz ['twas kingston ram] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B013H7QYEI)

Z170 mobo (Z270 and kaby lake weren't around when I bought this, likewise yes I know it's pentium, but I did not want to have to mess around with doing a mobo swap if/when I choose to OC) specifically.. [Z170-E from Asus] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017E0MA8S)

and a Corsair 750D (really glad I didn't go for the 800D or 900D as the 750D's Z axis hardly fits on my desk lol. [Best Case for Big Hands and First Builders without being gaudy and great airflow for cool components] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00YJJBFIO/)

This. Upgraded gpu in a prebuilt 980 ti to 2080 ti. Bad case airflow and the fans were always jet lout. Changed to Obsidian 700 Airflow Edition in order to add a water cooling block. Gpu went silent. Decided not to go water cooling for now.

What everyone else also mentioned works too:

watercooling

reapplying paste if paste was poorly applied

undervolting or limit fan, same thing card will try to keep itself cool under specified limits. Whether you limit power, temp limit, fan limit.

This one? I agree actually. I really like the grating rather than just having the filter exposed and I can't get mad at saving money in the process. Thanks for the tip.

Looks pretty good to me. Do you know if the front panel of that case is removable? My only concern would be a closed off front panel providing less airflow.

EDIT: CORSAIR OBSIDIAN 750D Full-Tower Case - Airflow Edition (CC-9011078-WW) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00YJJBFIO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_iia4DbJ8N0F0S

Same case with an open front for more airflow. It’s also $130 right now.

Hi, I just bought the Corsair 750d case and the Kraken x61 cooler. Where should I mount the radiator and which directions should the fan's air flow? I've seen pictures with either the radiator on top or in the front. Also, some people have the top as an intake which didn't seem correct.

I bought the [Corsair Obsidian 750D] (https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00YJJBFIO/?coliid=I1NB3JT8BI6Y9B&colid=336OZ619QXIZM&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it) for my build I am assembling today. It's my first build so I'm a little nervous. The case has what I'm pretty sure are built-in metal standoffs. Despite the fact that they are metal, and are attached to the case will by motherboard still be okay if I screw my motherboard into these? I don't want my first build to blow up in my face ._.

Alright I'm guessing you have a pretty big budget so here's a list:

Getting a bigger NAS is probably the wiser move.

My server is in here.

Id probably get something more like this. Its a better quality case with better ventilation and cable management. As you upgrade parts in the future its less likely this case will be lacking as well
