Well i got a temporary built for you. Be warned it is slightly above 400 quids but you are into entry range high end PCs here (especially the processor) and will satisfy all your gaming needs while easily "stomping" both of the next-gen consoles.

Processor - AMD FX8320 Black Edition 8 Core

GPU - AMD HD7770 2GB

Mobo - Asus M5A97

PSU - Corsair CX750

RAM - Corsair 8GB 1600MHz DDR3 Vengeance Memory Kit

HDD - Get a local one for cheap (barely matters unless you want a SSD)

Blu-ray - That shit isn't cheap and i didn't plan on including it in my stupid estimate which i made. I don't even use a DVD writer for myself and i haven't ever felt the need for one.

Audio - Since you said you wanted excellent Audio quality, you should look up on the Asus XONAR cards and pick one according to your needs. If you just want good audio quality for some personal music and movies, you can pick up the basic Xonar cards. They all have excellent audio.

Cabinet - Can't say what you need there. Pick anything with a decent airflow and you are good to go. Else, you can do what i do and pick a cheap one while just keeping it open for the airflow. Unless you are for aesthetics, you can save a good amount of fortune here.

The PSU is overkill for what you actually need, unless the silent part is your main purchasing factor. For only £60, you could get a CX750 that would do everything you need it to do, including future SLI.

Also, a Crucial M500 240GB would be a good SSD option for £84.

That case is hideously overpriced. For £80 shipped, you could get a Define R4 that's just as good of quality and to me looks better.

[EDIT]: With the extra £55 you just saved, you could throw in a Hyper 412S for £27.

I'm also buying the R9 270x and a new power supply for my birthday!
This is the power supply I'm getting

Well i was looking on amazon and you can get a PSU for £50 to £80 which won't be a problem. I was looking at getting this PSU and this Graphics Card . What are your thoughts on them?

u/ALonelyAnteater · 1 pointr/buildapc

I'm actually unsure. I got the non modular version: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B008RJZR40/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I purchased it on August 9th, so hopefully?

u/MrHabbz · 1 pointr/graphicscard

Okay so i've ordered this.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B008RJZR40/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new

But what you're saying is , the 600w will be sufficient enough , but a PSU upgrade is always welcome ?

Either that or the 600w version, what do you recon, a friend thought it might be the motherboard, not really sure what he ment, but i did notice that the power plugs seem to be fairly loose in the mother board, as in even when clipped in properly, they looked fairly fragile, don't know if that would affect anything!

Can a Corsair CP-9020015-UK Builder Series CX750 ATX/EPS 80 PLUS Bronze Power Supply Unit, 750 W handle a 2070 SUPER in terms of power and the connecters??

I am on a really tight budget, but I am not planning to OC anyway. Also, this much more powerful psu is cheaper than the one you recommended.

u/Bazilicarno · 1 pointr/HardwareSwapUK

Actually doesn't matter, works out to £67 I can get a better one (new) for cheaper of amazon. Edit: This.

u/keyes528 · 1 pointr/techsupport

I think I have solved my confusion. My psu is the http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CX750-Builder-Series-Bronze/dp/B008RJZR40/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1418766155&sr=1-1&keywords=corsair+cx+750w+bronze

It is NOT modular so I can use the cables straight from the main sleeve instead of buying those sperate cables?

u/CreedOfMiles · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

The VS series wasn't all that great, thus the lackluster reviews. Let me see if I can find a better unit.

If I were you I'd stretch my budget and get this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CX750-Builder-Series-Bronze/dp/B008RJZR40/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1417029976&sr=8-1&keywords=corsair+cx750

That way you can Crossfire down the road.

u/LinkToThis · 1 pointr/techsupport

Model of your PSU? It could be your PSU isn't pushing a continuous amount of power and fluctuating too much which is causing your crashes.

could just be a PSU problem something bronze standard is pretty common now.

I am upgrading my GPU from a GTX 760 to a GTX 970. It's a really big upgrade, and I'm gonna be needing a new PSU. I currently have an i5-3570k and a 450W PSU.

I've been looking at some PSU's on Amazon and came across this. Would this be enough to supply a 970 and my i5?

I've been looking at pcpartpicker and I can't find my motherboard. I've looked at my motherboard online and here's the specs. I understand I can put 2x 1333Mhz RAM sticks in there so I can upgrade to 16GB from 8GB, however can my Motherboard support a GTX 970 and a 650W PSU?

u/Kurdz · 1 pointr/techsupport

Well you've got a amazing budget, i suggest either going cheap and buying a decent graphics card to your computer which probably will run nearly max graphics or going for the highest option:

I can appreciate how difficult it is for a new miner trying to wade through the mountains of information out there. I personally would prefer to source the parts myself rather than purchase a pre-assembled rig. The construction process is the most fun part in my opinion, and you learn a LOT simply by doing it yourself. For £1200 you should be able to put together something reasonably impressive.

If you are going to mine MaxCoin, I would recommend an NVIDIA rig as the Maxwell architecture on the GTX 750 TI and 780 TI cards is really good for keccak. Here are some component suggestions:

  1. GPUs: NVIDA GeForce GTX 750 TI x6 (or x5 750 TI's and x1 780 TI)
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/GIGABYTE-NVIDIA-750Ti-PCI-E-Graphics/dp/B00IGQ4UX8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1395852897&sr=8-2&keywords=gtx+750+TI

  2. Motherboard: Asrock H61 Pro BTC board
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00HDP6TPA/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

  3. 1x - 16x PCIe risers
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00HLMZ87U/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

  4. CPU: any low power intel CPU will do. Eg:
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00B2HH5GM/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

  5. PSU - I would recommend a 750W psu for this setup. Eg:
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CX750-Builder-Series-Bronze/dp/B008RJZR40/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1395852971&sr=1-2&keywords=corsair+750
u/That_Connor_Guy · 0 pointsr/pcmasterrace

Corsair even say it should be for basic builds and not anything like this and especially not over clocking. So I'm not wrong on that.

http://www.corsair.com/en-gb/power-supply-units/cx-series

The other brands I suggested use better capacitors and you can get power supply's for a similar price/maybe slightly more and if you are buying 750W, im sure something like £20 isn't a dealbreaker.

CX 750 £64-£69

This £90ish

This £75

This £74

Due to the CX series using cheaper capacitors there IS a higher chance of them failing and taking other components with them.

And I said it is enough power but there are better power supplys out there.

Now where am I wrong?
