I would recommend at least going into your BIOS sometime and taking note of the version/date of it. You probably have a X470 or a B450 type board I'm assuming, which first launched in April-May 2018 I believe. If the BIOS version build date is any date before September/October of 2018 I'd definitely give it an update.

Depending on which speed of RAM you bought, when you're in your BIOS it'll also be a good time to double-check and make sure if the RAM you bought is over 2133mhz, that you're using one of the XMP profiles in the BIOS, because without an XMP profile enabled DDR4 ram speed caps out at 2133mhz (My ram for example is sold as "3000mhz" speed, but unless you have the XMP profile enabled, only runs at 2133).

Hope your able to find something that works :) let me know if you find something that improves your Tarkov experience.

I your budget allows you, you should change the gtx 1060 from 3 to 6gb the cheapest one right now I think is the “Zotac GTX 1060 6GB AMP Edition”.
Also if it’s only for gaming I think the Ryzen 3 1300x is cheaper(Take a look for your self https://youtu.be/rmfKZtYibGY )and will allow to maybe spend a little bit more on Ram and upgrade to 16gb like https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01HKF3T8C/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1509745581&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX118_SY170_QL70&keywords=Corsair+CMU32GX4M2C3200C16+Kit+de+Memoria+RAM+Vengeance+16+GB+%282+x+8+GB%29+DDR4-2666Mhz%2C+PC4-21300%2C+CL16+para+los+Sistemas+DDR4%2C+color+Blanco

I recommend to get a 240gb SSD to run the OS and a 1TB HDD like a barracuda for mass storage.
If you can you should get “Corsair Spec Alpha”, it’s an ATX case, don’t worry mATX motherboards fit in ATX cases, the good thing about this case is that it has 3 120mm RGB fans.
If in the future you want to get two Graphics Cards in SLI then you should get a ATX motherboard, they have two PCIe slots

How important is having RAM that is on your MOBO memory QVL?

I have the ASRock AB350M and want to use dis

The Red Version is still available for a few dollars more.

Thanks for the detailed post mate, really appreciate the help. I ordered all the pats today but I can cancel some if I need to. I had ordered a keyboard and mouse combo but I cancelled that and ordered the one you suggested. I also just ordered the headset you have.

I had already ordered the viewSonic tv as well so I'm happy you suggested that one : )

I ordered this [RAM] (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01HKF3T8C/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) which is nearly £10 more expensive then the one you suggested but they seem to be exactly the same except for the led. When I tried to order the cheaper one earlier today it said it would not deliver to Ireland.

I was looking for a 580 8G earlier today but they all seem to be pre order. Any idea when they will be available?

EDIT: I found this [580 8G] (https://www.scan.co.uk/products/8gb-msi-radeon-rx-580-gaming-x-14nm-polaris-2304-streams-1380mhz-boost-8000mhz-gddr5-2xdp-2xhdmi-dvi) on scan.co.uk for pre order but available on monday do you think the extra price is worth it?

I think everything else I have ordered is more or less the same as your list with the exception of the case and motherboard which I'm going to stick with my original.

The tp link I would have never even thought to get so you saved me a head ache. Will that particular one you have on the list be compatible with b350 Tomahawk?

Gigabyte Z390 Pro Arous

  1. the Ryzen system will be better, basically the same speed per core, and you might be able to do a small OC.

  2. I'd go for wifi, mobile systems that have to have a ethernet plug are silly to me. So I'd recommend the Asrock B350.

  3. Try to find faster Ram if you go with Ryzen. It's on sale but for 5 dollars more you can get 3000 speed corsair: https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-PC4-24000-Systems-CMU16GX4M2C3000C15R/dp/B01HKF3T8C

  4. try to get a blower GPU if possible, the node 202 will thank you.

  5. I'm not actually sure how tall the Ryzen stock cooler is... so idk if it will fit in the case. It probably will.

That said, honestly both builds are solid on their own.

Ryzen CPUs generally perform better with faster ram. Also 16GB is becoming more of a norm for builds especially for gaming purposes. It's very important to ensure you have Ryzen compatible ram. Do you have a price range in mind? Maybe something like this.https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01HKF3T8C/?tag=pcp0f-21 I noticed you're going for a red themed. PC part picker should only list compatible ram anyway so shouldn't worry too much about it. Generally companies like G.Skill and Corsair are the go to.

not particularly great.

good ram https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0123ZC44Y/?tag=pcpapi-20

premium ram https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HKF3T8C/?tag=pcpapi-20

whether or not you should bother with premium depends what CPU you have. your K/X CPUs will take advantage of the faster speed.

edit: nm, get that ripjaw ram on sale posted above. better and cheaper.
