Corsair is a a good affordable brand to go with. And this one should be able to handle three of those overclocked cubes or just about anything else you wanna throw at it, which would leave you plenty of room to expand into without having to buy another power supply. http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Series-80PLUS-Gold-Certified-Supply/dp/B00EB7UIXM/

So I have a 780 Ti and while it is nice to have solely for the purpose of showing off, I REALLY regret getting it. The reasons are two fold:

1.) No game out there requires a 780 Ti to play on Ultra or Max settings. We aren't just talking about Linux, which hasn't had a triple A title to really push its graphics capabilities yet. No game PERIOD requires it. Even Unreal Engine 4 will run just fine on a 780 or a 770.

2.) By the time a game does come out that requires the processing power a 780 Ti provides, the next generation of GPUs will have already come out. In fact, Nvidia has already announced their 900 series GPUs (they skipped 800). These new GPUs will not only have increased performance but also new graphics capabilities, so while a 780Ti will probably still beat a future regular 980 in raw FPS by a small amount, that 980 will have new architectural features (skin shaders, special radiosity support, new hardware video decoder/encoder support, etc.) that make it the GPU to have. The point of all this is that you'd rather buy a 780 now and use that $200 to upgrade to a 980 later, instead of just sticking with the 780Ti for the same amount of time. When buying hardware, I always advise people to go with mid-high range spec and upgrade more frequently, instead of buying top tier and hoping it will last you longer. Hardware changes architectures all the time and the only way to keep up is to upgrade frequently, which you won't be able to do if you're constantly buying top tier all the time (unless you're filthy rich and don't have anything else better to do with your money, which is never the case).

As for PSU, I recommend the Corsair RM series. They're cheaper, modular, and have a zero RPM fan mode when not over a certain load (not gaming, for example). I have the RM850 and its absolutely amazing. I have yet to see the fan turn on, even during my gaming sessions.

Which one do you recommend? I don't want to spend more than $150 on a PSU though.

EDIT: How about this one? Will this fulfill my needs, and have high quality? Future proofed for dual 780s? http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Series-80PLUS-Gold-Certified-Supply/dp/B00EB7UIXM/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1398222890&sr=8-4&keywords=Corsair+power+supply

I replied in the other thread, but that post may have been older.

With 4x 280x's you need to have ~ 1200 watts for the cards (with minor downvolting applied and about 100 for the system board. So in the 1300 watt realm its prolly better to get:

1x 1000 watt PSU with 3 cards running here this PSU

1x 550 watt psu for the system board and 1 gfx card

***

That said if your going with the 280x you might also go for bang for the buck! Just get 2x the 1000 watt PSU, skip the smaller PSU. Get 2 additional cards then this MOBO:

H81 mobo

If you are thinking of growing the board in the future this makes more sense now. You also need to get all risers (I recommend the USB 3 style also, link on sidebar of /r/scryptminingrigs)

Thanks for the heads up - I cancelled my 750W order and picked up a RM 850.

I have one of these if you're interested:

Seasonic, the brand you used is very good. Personally I would get a 850 watt PSU to power those cards although if you find a high quality 750 watt it should be plenty. My personal favorite PSU brands are Corsair or Seasonic. I have A Corsair HX850 and its great. Just look for a PSU thats rated 80 + bronze or better. Also modular and Semi Modular PSUs are great for cable management. Here is just one example Click
