The best book is Junaid Ahmads https://www.amazon.com/Creation-Bangladesh-Dr-Junaid-Ahmad/dp/9692316904

(It uses a variety of sources which it cites and can be reread).

As for BD's "crazy" growth rates that due to almost entirely their textile industry, which is aleady looking to leave BD for cheaper places in Africa. They have little by the way other industry (excepy some shipbuilding ones). Harly any engineering, electronics, pharma etc.
