It’s an awesome little device...one more tip I just learned, get a magnetic USB cable (something like this https://www.amazon.com/Digital-Ant-i-Product-Compatible-Micro-USB/dp/B07GWLF4GR/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?keywords=magnetic+usb+charging+cable&qid=1574465757&sprefix=magnetic+usb+&sr=8-5 ) to avoid the wear and tear on the USB port. I keep my tamper in my kit instead of in the crafty now, but I never have to worry about another shitty Micro USB port going bad on such a valuable device.

Way overpriced. You can buy three full cables with a magnetic end (including multiple types of ends) for less... if you want c to c, they exist too.

Not yet, unfortunately. I use one of these to charge my wireless mouse (micro usb) and keyboard (type c). Which is pretty convenient since it connects magnetically and takes no effort at all. It's also reversible.

How about something like this:

With the exception of the double sided magnet, this seems to check your boxes in terms of supporting data, multiple connection types, etc

Only a couple caveats I see:

>Gen-X is incompatible with Motorola type-c devices, iPad pro 2018 and MacBook series.

..and for me my tablets and Chromebooks sit in sleeves mounted on the side of a tall metal file cabinet, so this is an issue for me (but I assume is the case for most magnetic connectors like this:

> Stay away from metal debris to avoid short circuit

There are a few for the Macbook that support full data speeds including Thunderbolt 3 video but they're not cheap. We don't need anywhere near that level of compatibility or throughput, and hopefully something will come along specifically for Quest. For now at least USB-C is much easier to plug in than the MicroUSB on Go, since it's omnidirectional.

edit: looking at the power-only magnetic connectors they just use 3 pins, and for USB 2.0 level speeds we'd need to add D+ and D-. The Macbook ones use 24 pins which is overkill for Quest : https://www.amazon.com/Magnetic-Adapter-Connector-Quick-Charge/dp/B07MMKZ8XD

edit 2: this one supports data, not a right-angle plug but getting closer : https://www.amazon.com/Digital-Ant-i-Product-Compatible-Micro-USB/dp/B07GWLF4GR

So what’s the issue here? They forgot to send you the mod kit right? I’m sure they’ll send you a new one quickly I’ve dealt with their customer service before and they helped me out. I had my mod kit microphone acting funny and it started to move a bunch when it was connected to the headset like it would slide up and down too much so when I talked it moved my head I would constantly have to readjust the mic back towards my mouth. It was like it was loose or something and kept falling down which was really annoying but once I reached out to Astro support they responded to me within a day and offered to send me another mod kit mic for free without me sending back the broken one. Even asked what color modkit I had so the new mic would match my green speaker tags which was nice and I ended up getting the mic within a few days!

Idk maybe try reaching out and contacting their support team and waiting a few more days before coming on here and crying about it......

The headset still works though right? Like nothing is wrong with it except the fast they didn’t send you the modkit?

Also if you’re annoyed by the fact you have to unplug the mic amp you can get a pack of pack of these magnetic USB charging cables which I saw another redditor post here awhile back. I use them for my mix amp so I can easily turn it off when I shut down my PC instead of actually unplugging them or just leaving it on. It should be saving your setting such as the EQ though even when unplugging it.... have you downloaded the new Astro Command center and set everything up correctly?
