Bunnies don't have pads on their feet like cats or dogs--only fluff down there on bunny paws! so there's no way for them to have any traction. They slip and slide, and it's extremely uncomfortable for them. Sometimes, they won't enter certain areas of your house (bedrooms, but also up onto furniture or even into their litterbox) if their only way to get there is through hardwood or tile floor. If there's not an adequate amount of space to run on that is carpeted, you won't ever see your bunny binky, either! And every bunny deserves to run and binky at their leisure because it's such a sign of true happiness.
This kind of rug is not only cheap but made of a texture that bunnies love to dig and claw it. It's kind of lack a scratching post for them! I have these laid out all over the area where my bunnies play, which also protects the carpet! :)
You should consider getting him a friend, too, because they are very social animals and their lives are drastically improved with a friend. Read about bonded pairs and all the sweet bunny love that comes with it!
