Oh no not at all man! It's literally plug-and-play - just put the HDMI or whatever other connector into the PC (or whatever you'd be displaying on to it) and the other into the projector and off you go. Lots of options to get the best picture display

Almost every "best projector under 1,000" list I found had this or another on top - can't remember the other, the picture was a TINY bit better on it (but cutting straws because the picture on this is amazing too) but did not have the short throw feature (so you would need about 9ft distance I think it is, for a 100" screen).

Another thing - it does 3D! It's not mind blowing quality but it's pretty decent and I only noticed after I had already set my mind on buying it. But what is mind blowing is that because it is 'DPLink' 3D, you throw the glasses on and it turns literally everything on the screen 3D right down to the mouse. No need for special 3D files with the fully lines/double screens/etc or any kind of special 3D emitter, just pop in anything (even for example, GTA V or whatever if you like to do a bit of gaming).
