FYI, they are currently $84 on Amazon and were $79 until a couple weeks ago, and once were on sale there for $75.57.

So this IS a sale, but not a big one, and you have to deal with Massdrop's shipping.

Edit: Oh, and it's listed on Jet for $89.99, so with some of the coupon codes you could get it for around $70 shipped.

I only use PG348Q to play games. it is more immersive experience. I don't swivel them at all. I just leave it like that. I don't know if you noticed from that picture, PG348q is passing center of the mounting pole little to the left, So when I sit in the middle, far left and far right are at the same distance from my sitting position. Since 34 inch is more toward center, I have no problem looking at it when gaming or for productivity.

Mount is.... Ergotech Freedom Arm in Silver. I bought 2 of those arms. They come with each pole, but i decided to only use one of them and put 2 arms on it in the middle of desk. (other pole is in the box),

This is the one I bought in May of last year.

I have a 34UC97 and it weights 18.2 pounds, so a little heavier than what the arm is specked for but from what I read before buying it was its rated for a much higher weight than is stated. You can move it anyway you want, up, down, left, right, you can even flip the monitor on its side and upside down and you can extend it. It has a screw you can tighten or loosen depending on how you want it to react. Overall I recommend it.

I use an Ergotech Freedom Arm for my Dell U3415W, which is almost the same in weight. It works like a charm once you adjust the tension spring in the upper arm. It floats nicely whichever height you set it at.

Or for dual I'm pretty sure you can buy 2 and put them on the same center pole. They look good too.

Maybe just get normal monitor arms like this one, which can be clamped to the desk. The arm will allow for a good bit of movement just not the entire desk, but you should be able to unclamp and reposition a monitor fairly quickly if you want to move it further.

u/beuh_dave · 1 pointr/bapccanada

You should get two of these. YouTube review here.

u/extendshuman · 1 pointr/ultrawidemasterrace

If you get an arm like the Ergotech Freedom arm, you can sit two arms on a single base (see the second image here) but that would be an expensive set up

[ http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00CEHME92/ref=redir_mdp_mobile/185-6548945-5897230] (there is probably a cheaper one), but it gives you a lot of Flexibility and the quality is superb. There are nice Reviews of it online.

u/PrinceOfLove · 1 pointr/battlestations

Two of these and a cheap wall mount that tilts. Not the best, but it works for now.

u/brmcm15 · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

Congrats on the second monitor! If you have the room in your budget you should put it on a stand to give you some more desk room! (Just picked one up last week)

The one I have has sag on the right side so it makes the monitor sit cattywhompus and it drove me nuts.

As I said before I'd recommend spending a bit more for a Freedom Arm or an Ergotron LX (amazon basics version to save a few bucks

Yes they cost 3-4 times the price of the monoprice mount but they are just all around better IMO and it allows for flex in your setup down the road. Better to buy once for a little bit more than to buy three or four times of crap products trying to get something that is suitable.

u/blueman541 · 1 pointr/buildapcsales

So cheap, so I bought one. Bleh, hated it. It is fine to mount a monitor still if you never want to adjust it. To raise/lower the monitor you need to unlock and reposition. To tilt your screen you need a allen wrench to adjust!

If you need to frequently adjust your screen get something like Ergotech freedom arm. Cost 3-4x as much, but 10x better in functionality.

I'm in the market for one for my desk as well, have my QNIX coming monday! http://www.amazon.com/Ergotech-Freedom-Arm-Mount-Single/dp/B00CEHME92#customerReviews

I think it would be good for it.

u/asyrin25 · 1 pointr/ultrawidemasterrace

Gah, I'm a moron and thought I was responding to a different post!

Your monitor weight is 14.5lbs without the stand. I recommend Ergo Freedom Arm. Here's the silver one

u/MorallyQuestionable · 1 pointr/ultrawidemasterrace

I just got my PG348Q a few days ago and quickly realized I needed a monitor arm as it takes up most of the space on my desk. I spent hours searching and looking for a mount the other day and finally settled on this one:

  • Vivo Single LCD Monitor Desk Mount -- Video Review

The primary reason I purchased this one was because it was the only one that offered 2-day shipping via Amazon Prime. I didn't want to wait 1-2 weeks to get it. I'm somewhat impatient. :)

But that said, I was ready to purchase the Freedom Arm if I could find it anywhere that offered better shipping options:

  • Ergotech Freedom Arm Mount -- Video Review -- Some have suggested the HD version, but most have said it's overkill for this monitor, so the non-HD version is likely to work just fine.

  • AmazonBasics Single Monitor Display Mounting Arm -- Video Review

  • AC Z1 3D MONITOR ARM

Mind you I am in Canada, so the shipping options to the US will be better.

These recommendations are based off research that indicates they all support the PG348Q, or a 34" monitor of similar weight without any issue.

Also, I have a very solid desk, so I cannot comment on what would work for you, but as others have already suggested, you'll most likely need to replace your desk to support your monitor.

    Hope this helps!

That one seems super expensive. I've heard good things about this one

u/Hewsymobile · 1 pointr/buildapc

How about this? Its got an extension range of 67.82 cm so it should be able to clear your other monitor and you wont have to screw into any walls. The website Mass Drop has them on sale atm for $61.

u/dak32 · 1 pointr/ultrawidemasterrace

I'd imagine he's probably using the Ergotech Freedom Arm or something like it. If you want one on top of the other, they're not so great at that. The support arm usually tends to be too short. Since I was using a freedom arm, I went ahead and added a single monitor mount to my setup.

I was a little lazy and didn't hide the ergotech arm, but I could if I so desired.

Hope that helps.

How about something like this?

u/jaykresge · 1 pointr/Monitors

Not currently within your budget, but watch for sales:

[Ergotech Freedom Arm (Silver)] (https://smile.amazon.com/Ergotech-Freedom-Arm-Silver-FDM-PC-S01/dp/B00CEHME92/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1483902653&sr=8-1&keywords=ergotech+freedom+arm)
[Ergotech Freedom Arm (Metal Grey)] (https://smile.amazon.com/Ergotech-Freedom-Arm-Metal-FDM-PC-G01/dp/B008TYF0F4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1483902653&sr=8-2&keywords=ergotech+freedom+arm)

Other than that, you can look at the VIVO options. They have quite a few <$50 with mostly positive reviews.

u/rohit275 · 1 pointr/ultrawidemasterrace

Most dual mounts aren't great for this setup with ultrawide, because one of the monitors is too wide and would get in the way of the other one. What you can do is get a triple monitor mount (and not use the middle mount) or get two single monitor mounts. That's what I just did last night.

I'm using the Ergotech Freedom Arm, which I got a little cheaper than this on Massdrop.
