Yep! Definitely not safe for human oral consumption. I apply a very thin layer all over my face. The Durvet brand is best if you have dry skin since it's rather oily and the Horse Health brand is better for those with oily skin since it's more of a white paste.

If you happen to have a very large guinea pig you could try this.

Google Translate says it should be イベルメクチン which turns up something that might be a bit more useful, also on Amazon.

We used Ivermectin for it, which you can snag from Amazon.com.

However, there's another one that's currently on sale for $3 a tube.

Overall, it worked relatively well and apparently has less side effects than "the other stuff." In addition to all that though, you typically want to freeze whatever you can (linen etc) for at least 24 hours, try to give the rats a bath after their meds (we couldn't do this -- they'd eat us alive), and wipe down their cage with apple cider vinegar + water -- let it soak in for a bit.

In our case, we suspected we were getting the mites from lab blocks at the pet store.

this one does not smell like apples

I prefer it to the Duravet brand horse paste, as that one smelled like a Jolly Rancher candy. I’ve had just as much luck with the horse paste as I did with Soolantra. I mix mine with sulphur ointment and Cereve PM lotion
