That's not quite what it is... Faust is the collected works of a pulp literary magazine called Mephisto (correct me if I'm wrong) that used to run in Japan. Most of the authors who contributed to it, like NISIOISIN went on to become very famous. I'm pretty sure Kodono of Boogiepop fame was already famous. You can also see how some of the short stories they published in it served as prototypes for later much more famous works. Faust is ultimately a very important piece of LN History.
We only got the first two volumes of it, but it's amazing they even tried publishing it in English at all, given that at the time almost no one knew what light novels were. I can only hope maybe Vertical gives it a shot some day. But only after they finish Zaregoto.
