I’ll join in on the Le Creuset love. I have a dutch oven and a couple braisers that I use as sauté pans, and they are fabulous. Not mentioned here, I also have some Le Creuset serving dishes (specifically the pasta bowls) which I absolutely adore eating out of. The wide shallow format makes some really nice presentations.
One I haven’t seen mentioned is Fiesta Ware. Mostly they are known for tableware, but a few years ago I got my hands on their trio of large baking bowls. They are super duper heavy stoneware that range from large, to larger, to ginormous. The ginormous one is great for really big batches of mashed potatoes, or a double batch of muffins, or any similar item which has a tendency to overflow when mixed. I bought these bowls to replace some older, cheap ones that broke, and the Fiesta set is on my list of “would replace immediately” items if something happened to them. Although I’m pretty sure they are indestructible.
