We have had an Ion Block Rocker Bluetooth speaker for several years. I’m not sure how old it is, but it works well enough. I wish I could make it a bit louder.

I added a longer 1/4 inch microphone extension cable to give more freedom to walk around without being tied so closely to the speaker. This also lets me set it up off the ground for better sound projection.

I also got a set of wireless karaoke microphones. The wired microphone can plug into that base unit. This gives us three mics to pass around to leaders and scouts.

The Block Rocker speaker has an internal rechargeable battery, so I was able to use it with the wired mic outdoors where we had no other power source.

We had the same problem. It was easier and cheaper to cobble one together with some wireless mics, old speakers, and youtube.

I'd be more than happy to lend it to you, but we gave it away.

Do you already have the speaker? I have a different setup which was super cheap, and just use youtube videos for karaoke tracks (no subscription).

I use this bluetooth speaker which has 1/8" input from these microphones. I play the sound from the computer out through the speaker, and the video goes through HDMI to the TV screen. I've had great luck with it!

Not that this post got a lot of traction, but in case anyone is interested: I'm now running 2 wireless mics with their own small mixer into the AUX port of my stereo receiver. I run karaoke from YouTube using Amazon Fire TV stick voice search. Audio from the TV goes into the mixer, gets mixed with wireless mics, then into the stereo. So far it sounds good, and no issues. It's not the most elegant (you obviously have a few seconds of silence to search and select in between songs), but it is a good, compact home solution and we are having fun (and probably annoying the neighbors and the dog).
