As already said, there can never be enough books :) From bedtime books (Goodnight Moon, Goodnight Train...), to pictures books (wild animals, farm animals...), to learning books (colors, counting, ABC). She might not have to learn right away, but she'll get used to the books, learn how to turn the pages, start pointing at the images.


If you are thinking for at least 9 month old, I would say a toy that she can push around such as a walker or an activity table when she learns how to stand. Example:

My girls loved their toddler rocking chairs, and still do to this age (1.5yo). They can sit there and play with the hanging toys, but when they grow up, they learn how to climb in them by themselves and just chill when being told stories.

  When it comes to cribs, pack n plays, rock n plays, bouncers and swings its upto the childs taste. Out of my nieces and nephews 1 always napped in a rock n play, 1 in the swing, 1 would sleeps anywhere, 1 would sleep on mommy or a boppy, 1 in the crib and my daughter would only sleep in the carrier or being held. She never used the rock n play, crib or pack n play but loved the bouncer and occasionally accepted sitting in the boppy or swing. They are all so different. With our little girl her reflux was so bad that if she was laid flat she would immediately throw up.
