In Fix Your Gut, I read that magnesium supplementation takes less time if you supplement orally and transdermally.

No probs. It was recommended in this book http://www.amazon.com/Fix-Your-Gut-Dedicated-Digestive-ebook/dp/B00JNL0SYK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1417793693&sr=8-1&keywords=fix+your+gut as an alternative to proton pump inhibitors.

I was having some really weird acid and reflux issues that weren't clearing up even with PPIs and I didn't like the idea of how they worked. Zinc carnosine is supposed to be excellent at treating stomach issues associated with weak acid production and faulty LES. I took zinc carnosine for about a week and it cleared up the problem almost immediately and I haven't experienced it since. It is not something you need to take all the time.

Follow the protocol for what your diagnosis is. Stay aware of when your body may be ready to taper the treatment.

I did this protocol when meds were not working and I'm 90% on my way to remission again.
