I have 5 of the 5.0 SD2Vitas and they work on OLED, Slim and PSTV models. Never had an issue with any of them.

-Slim is a bit more suited for hacking, since it has 1GB accessible internal storage. OLED requires a memory card (or MLTHaku, which I don't recommend). If you own a memory card, then it doesn't really matter.

-The guide we link in this sub is reliable and relatively simple

-Not any drawbacks I can think of

-PSP/PS1 runs great on the vita via the application Adrenaline. It uses some of the vita hardware, so not completely emulated.

-SNES GBA emulation is decent, however I do not consider the vita a great retro emulation machine.

-sd2vita. Any version 5/6 will do just fine.

-Streaming PC games to vita requires PC with NVIDIA chipset (Moonlight application).

I can confirm that both of these worked with My Vita Slim 2000. These are the exact ones I purchased and am currently using. You have to watch out for "fakes" apparently, but these are legit.

True. Does this look good to purchase? Wouldn't want to get scammed.

u/Musical_life · 2 pointsr/AmazonFaeries

I love when that happens!

I would love this card so I can hack my PSTV!

>I definitely wouldn’t wanna get the Vita because of the damn proprietary storage cards alone. What a joke. Otherwise I’d be all over it.

You can buy a Micro SD to Vita adapter card for $9 on Amazon.

>If I can find a legit battery for my PSP I think that might be the best route for me.

If you have a 3000, finding a good battery will be kind of hard but it is a good option.

I bought a vita slim used from gamestop yesterday unfortunately it was already on 3.68 so I was able to install h-encore everything is up and running tested by using RetroArch to play some SNES. I ordered A SD2Vita 5.0 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07F63FPT3/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 that will be here tomorrow. I seen some threads concerning issues running SD2Vita with H-Encore unless they were using "enso"? Can someone explain to me what enso does and where do I get it? I should also mention it did not come with A official Sony memory card am I going to need one for any reason. I ordered a 64GB microsd https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XX29S9Q/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to use with the SD2Vita adapter listed above. Thanks!

I'm happy to help answer answer anything I can for you Griff, I can finally pay it forward haha!

3.60 Enso is exactly where you want to be, any lower and some homebrew may not work correctly, Enso runs the initial hack everytime the device starts up, while with later versions of firmware require you to use the h-encore exploit every time the device reboots, so thats why 3.60 is so good!

To run your inital exploits on a 1000 series, a vita memory card is required since there is no internal memory on these models, after that, you can buy this adapter to use a micro sd card:

I use a samsung 128gb micro sd card with the sd2vita adapter, and it works very well! Once your on 3.60, you can reroute where the vita accesses memory, which we make it to the game slot for the sd2vita adapter, and everything runs from there!

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Would it be wise to go ahead and buy one of these for my PSV TV or should I wait until official updates are over.

What you could do is hack the vita using the 4gig then get an sd2vita and a 64gig micro sd and then just use the sd2vita instead since its ridiulously cheaper than using the official proprietary cards. techjames has videos on his channel of how to switch your main storage from the proprietary vita mem card to the sd2vita microsd card.

I have the OLED also, and this is the exact SD2Vita I purchased. Sure the price is a little higher than other cards on Amazon/eBay, but I can guarantee you it works perfectly. https://www.amazon.com/Funturbo-Ultimate-Version-SD2Vita-Adapter/dp/B07F63FPT3/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=funturbo+sd2vita&qid=1557193790&s=gateway&sr=8-2

The microSD fits very snug into the adapter, and the SD2Vita adapter fits nicely into your Vita slot. I have tested with both a 128gb Sandisk Ultra, and 256gb Samsung EVO. Good luck!

u/nutsack133 · 1 pointr/ps2

There is no need to do all that on your Vita. You don't have a memory card in your Vita at all right now? Didn't know you could have henkaku installed without one on a Vita-1000. If you don't have one just buy a cheap 4GB PSVita memory card and an SD2Vita so you can use a microSD instead of the PSVita memory card once you get everything setup. The SD2Vita goes in your cartridge port.

https://www.amazon.com/Funturbo-Ultimate-Version-SD2Vita-Adapter/dp/B07F63FPT3

Then you can do the 3.60 hack on to your PSVita memory card following the guide at https://vita.hacks.guide. Then use the StorageMgr plugin (vita.hacks.guide shows how to set it up too) to use your microSD through the SD2Vita adapter.

I haven't done the Raspberry Pi myself, I use PC. Project Phoneix Media's youtube channel has a video showing how to set it up.
