I was watching this the other night while rather stoned and it was so mind boggling. Understanding the many complex functions nature performs on the regular is fantastic.
Yeah I was just thinking about when it comes to living soil as a medium, I agree with soilless being fed directly from the nutrients.
I had 5 DWC plants in one rubber maid tote at one point. It works, as long as all the plants have some roots that are submerged in solution then they will be able to feed and drink. But the roots will get tangled and grow really big, it does become messy. Root pruning though, herblion does it and it seems like a way around that. My issue was when I transplanted those 5 plants into seperate DWC buckets. At that point they had gone wild and there was some major root snipping to untangle them. If you flowered in the original container then transplants would not apply.
