This one? https://www.amazon.com/GermGuardian-AC4825-Cleaning-Sanitizer-Reduction/dp/B004VGIGVY It is a little Oval Shaped, but also is a tower.

This one? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00V5ZB5WQ/ref=s9_acsd_top_hd_bw_bFgGp_c_x_5_w?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-2&pf_rd_r=H8S53T8NQ3HADCPDVA10&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=d4944677-c52a-52c7-9f81-33cb28e10243&pf_rd_i=3737411 it's definitely a rectangle and not an oval, and definitely a tower.

I vape a lot in my computer room. If an air filter will reduce / eliminate the VG build up on my monitor and stop my fire alarm from going off when I chain a few big puff, seems worth it to me.

This is probably the best answer.

I think there are enough scientific studies to show that particulate counts drop when the filter is running. And you would expect that, so it shouldn't be a surprise. The benefit to the person goes beyond the research that I've seen so far, but admittedly, I haven't spent too much time looking at it.

I use an air purifier, because it might help - I don't know if it does, but in the chance that it does provide a benefit, I'm happy to be using it. There's really no risk except the up front cost and ongoing filters.

This is the one I use, which has a 10% discount currently: https://www.amazon.com/GermGuardian-AC4900CA-Sanitizer-Allergens-Guardian/dp/B00V5ZB5WQ/

If you're not currently using an absorbent layer under the fleece, you should start. Without an absorbent layer, all fleece does is keep their feet dry. As for controlling odors, just using fleece is the same as doing absolutely nothing at all. Some absorbent options include UHaul padding, towel, washable incontinence pads, etc. Even with an absorbent layer, fabric (when compared to other bedding options) does the least to control odors. Consider other substrate options like aspen or kild-dried pine shavings or paper based beddings like recycled newspaper pellets or carefresh. Different options will have different pros/cons so trying out different things is a good idea.

Of course you don't want to use scents and air fresheners but an air purifier will help. I use a cheap Germ Guardian. It has a HEPA filter as well as a carbon filter. The carbon filter actually does the most for smells. Don't use ionizing air "filters." They're not good for little rat lungs.

Have you checked to make sure your cage (itself) isn't holding odors? Does it smell even right after you wash it? If so, you could try spraying it down with a water/vinegar mix or maybe the cage materials have absorbed urine and the cage just needs to be replaced.

I don't let my boys run around on my carpet or furniture unless they're covered with an old blanket or something. I just saw a post where someone was trying to figure out how to get the pee smell out of their hardwood floors. Even though my boys are pretty good about using their litter boxes when out of the cage, they'll still drip pee everywhere. There's no stopping it.
