If this is the exact same one I got, which it looks like it is, they are 9 inches tall. They're a pretty good size imo.
I'm not personally keen on using other figures to slap an amiibo chip on to, but if someone wanted a detailed, specific figure to use as the amiibo, that would be the way to do it!
Or stick it in one of these to sit next to the yarn yoshis! Haha
