It's an amazing story holy shit here's the first volume

Giant Days: Just a damn fun slice of life series about a couple of British girls going through college. Made by the people that made the webcomic Scary-Go-Round. Through all of the superheroics and dramas that are out there, it's just a refreshing break. The stories are relate-able even when they're exaggerated, the characters are all super charming and it just feels good to read.

New 52 Harley Quinn: More super heroics but I would also call this another refreshing break from it all since it requires almost no pre-knowledge of DC events going on and are more focused on comedy. Conner and Palmiotti's art is always on point and I think this is really the height of Harley's character growth and it hasn't gone backwards yet cause it's been so strong. I've got all 5 volumes and I'd say they're definitely worth it.

Honorable mentions go to Sex Criminals, Wicked+Divine, and Spider-Verse. I haven't read them, but they always get talked about online and by people I know personally so they're probably worth a look.

Well, did you hear about the New52 Event? It was DC Comics decision to reboot everything (mostly) with no ties to the past (mostly).
Since New52 Harley has a standalone series and was part of multiple teamups.

However one of the most important stories is "Mad Love". It is probably one of the most defining storys for her character, so it is more standalone, but stylized like Batman:The Animated Series.

Her first appearance in New52 is Suicide Squad.

If you just like to dip your toes into Harley Quinn and don't care much about the past, but you want to know about current standing of our favourite Harley, than you should look into just "Harley Quinn"

I like it. The comic is obviously a variant and not an exclusive, based on the "#1" it has on it. It looks like it's probably the first book from this: http://www.amazon.com/Harley-Quinn-Vol-City-Numbered/dp/1401254152 Anyone know more about this? I checked Amazon's preview, the comic looked really entertaining. There was even a huge reference to the original Harley Quinn from the old Batman cartoon, and I absolutely loved it. If this IS what we're getting, it seems like a great stand-alone issue, not a cliff-hanger that just sets up future stories. Has anyone here read this? It seems the "intro" on Amazon is comic #0, and what we're getting in Lootcrate is #1.

Either way, all of the "wants" are satisfied here for me:

Something valuable enough to justify spending money: All of the crate actually. Nothing is junk this time.

Something to show off: The shirt is ok (not really a Star Trek fan) but I love the beanie concept. That Punisher-half beanie is definitely getting worn.

Something useful: Two clothes items, and that wallet will be useful if Mighty Wallets are as good as they claim. I like how the design of the wallet is nerdy but not really gaudy, the colors are muted and the design is serious enough.

Something displayable: That AvP figure is cool. The comic will probably look nice on a shelf, the cover design is pretty.

Something random (not everyone gets the exact same stuff): The AvP figure is randomly one or the other, apparently.

Something I can nerd out over: Damn that comic looks neat. I love Harley Quinn, and even if I don't like comics I've gotta read through this one.

Really I can't see anything to complain about. I wish the punisher beanie had a bigger skull emblem on it, and I wish the shirt was different (ugly colors, and a series I don't really care about), but even with that this is a great crate. Even the pin looks great, I didn't like the ugly pin last month and this one seems better than the 1st pin from January, which I really liked.

Congrats on the date! I’ve never really been a fan of DC other than Batman and Wonder Woman, but the new Harley Quinn 52 comics are rad! Link to volume 1!

So, have you seen the new Supergirl show?

I don't know much about her comic counterpart currently but the TV one may be up your ally. As for comics...

You may like the new Batgirl that started at issue 35: http://io9.gizmodo.com/batgirls-new-uniform-may-be-the-best-damn-superheroine-1603247249

Also someone suggested the new Starfire book. If you like that then I'd suggest the current Harley Quinn book. They have much the same feel. Another plus side is there is enough of this book out to be collected into volumes: http://www.amazon.com/Harley-Quinn-Vol-City-Numbered/dp/1401254152

I also think you may like Emma Frost but that'd require digging into X-Men as she's not a solo character.

It’s when the most current writer started his run. But tbh, if you want the best Harley Quinn run, start at her solo series from 2013. The husband and wife, Amanda Conner and Jimmy palmiotti, basically made the modern version of Harley. It’s written like a comedy and the art is wonderful. They wrote her for four years, with 30 new 52 issues and 34 rebirth issues. Really the rest of rebirth Harley is just left in their shadow. You can really tell the two loved the character. A lot of the new Harley cartoon is based on their run.

Here’s a link to the first volume, if you wanted to pick it up.
