We have this one. We like it. It’s good for allergies and keeps the air nice. I would recommend looking into it. It’s a bit pricey but if you want something you can have running for a decent amount of time then I would recommend it.
We also have a commercial ozone generator for when we want to clear the room after the evening. Works for all smells you just have to be out of the room when you run it.

This is the exact one we have and it’s nice.
Both options are good. But if you just want the smell gone I would recommend the ozone generator. If you want something to actually take allergens and such out of the air I would recommend the Honeywell.
I have a Honeywell Air Genius 5 which has a washable filter and it seems to work pretty well for my small, two bedroom apartment. It would be ideal for me to have two, one in the living room and one in my bedroom, but it already makes a considerable difference. I can tell if my roommate has turned it off while I was away the moment I walk through the door.

Would this solution move enough air and be quiet at the same time? In my experience, duct fans are quite loud. I think op had something more like this in mind.
