my mom didnt drive any car for the last 20 years and she did the shopping for a family of 4 the whole time.
It's all a matter of getting used to it and adjusting accordingly, she would go to buy groceries about 2-3 times a week instead of going once a week.
she also got one of these shopping trolleys that way it was super easy to but anything you need for your daily life and it also gets you to focus on what you really need instead of buying more and more shit.
We have w2 employees now so we provide everything, including a cart. In the past when we used contractors they provided their own cart and supplies.
