At the risk of sounding kind of like a jerk, can I point out that maybe it's your own fault for buying crutches at the hospital instead of paying $24 for them on Amazon?
I mean, seriously, even the Ontario health system is a ripoff by comparison.
And Canadian health care is also "for profit". Those doctors and nurses aren't working as volunteers. The government just tells those doctors and nurses that they can't make what they're worth in a free market.
