Or any brand really, This is just the first one i saw. Plenty of other options out there.
Well, you can find a 240 GB SSD for around $30 too -- the cost of one of the A-list games once they start hitting the 50% off sales, and it'll hold 10 of our oversized games. (Well, I do realize that some of the newest games take 70+ GB now ...)
(That said, the OP did mention No Man's Sky ($30 right now, though it's been a bit cheaper in the past) -- and Apex Legends and Path of Exile (both free), so that comparison only really works for NMS ...)
But even if that's too expensive, spinning rust works fine too. I imagine that SSDs were specifically mentioned because they're expensive -- but they're not really that expensive anymore.
The bigger problem happens when your drive is soldered to the motherboard (Apple, I'm looking at you!) or it otherwise can't be upgraded.
In any event, is "some games require too much disk" more of a concern than "some games require too much cpu" or "some games require too fast of a gpu" or "what do you mean 4 GB isn't enough ram?" I mean, there's always something ...
That said, if you've got an older PC with lower capabilities, you're probably running older games with smaller disk requirements anyways, because it can't handle the latest stuff ...
