I don't have an answer for you. Once you get into controllers that have more than 4 ports you're looking at a lot of server hardware. The Rampage V Extreme won't allow you to create a 6 disk raid, nor would you want it to. The purpose of a raid controller is to offload the work of creating and managing the array to a hardware controller, instead of through software.
