I was making a guess at the next gen of CPUs, not the outgoing gen. Also, quad core? That's not what you're looking for if your primary use is playing games and streaming/encoding at the same time.
It's fine for just gaming but pretty crappy for encoding. I know I'm looking at the octacore stuff coming out in the fall.
