Dash cams dont draw as much power as you think. Especially models with batteries built in. I have this one its alright but i have had some issues with it. It records 24/7 as long as it is plugged in. I also have a newer optima battery. I have left my truck for a a week with the camera plugged in and i had no problems starting my truck.
I picked up a dashcam after I was hit downtown. The other driver swore up and down that I was the one who ran the red light. If it weren't for the red light camera he could have gotten away with saying that.

After this, I am probably going to get a dual channel version. Someone work with pointed out that my video looks like it could have been me merging into the lane where the truck was already going straight.

The mount kinda is bleh but it has good quality recording is good, its always on when I get it, just remember to plug it in. Audio quality is ok too
