I've had a Kobo Forma for a few months now. I have no issues with the power button, and the lighting issue (From this post) is barely noticable for me.
To be fair, this might be because I rarely use my Forma at more than 25% brightness (15% during the day to account for brightness variance on my subway ride, 25% with reduced blue light at night.)

I absolutely love my Forma, and find the size and featureset to be perfect for me. As a commuter who often has to grab onto a handrail while on the subway, the page turn buttons found on the Forma have been invaluable, and the size of the screen greatly increases readability with a minimal effect on portability.

For peace of mind, I bought a sleep cover and anti-glare screen protector.
Unfortunately, the sleep cover effectively doubles the amount of weight you have to hold, which makes holding it with one hand a bit more an adjustment.

All in all, while I was very worried about whether the Forma would be worth the price, but having bought it and used it for the past two months, none of those worries remain, and I am totally pleased with it.
