My area does not experience brown outs and I'm pretty sure the outlet works; the the computer other devices will continue to be powered. So I do not want to ruin my new components, so I went ahead and purchased a new power supply. Here is a link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00596CP9E/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00
I did decide to go balls to the wall a bit, its such a cheap ps for the power it has, and I checked that is has dual 12v27,28 ATX12 100,000 hours average. If you can find anything wrong with it pls let me know ha. It does seem to good to be true, but I like taking chances.

i burned out two of these they literally puffed smoke and all that, power draw was only around 600W at the wall. no damage to the other components. like i said, 80+ bronze gives some kind of quality stamp, so it's more likely it'll actually deliver you the advertised wattage, but there's really no way to measure.
