This travel pod had been great with my 2 year old; she’s still in her crib at home. We set it up at home and let her get used to it, and then no problems putting her in it at bedtime in hotel rooms. So far, she hasn’t figured out how to undo the zippers :)

We've got two of these tents for my guys and have used them since about that age and they still fit in them at 21 months and likely will for quite some time longer. I preferred them over pack and plays just because they were easier to haul around. It wasn't hard to train them to sleep in them, we just did a few naps in the cribs in them before the trips and they're good to go.
