Seriously, don’t stress about baby proofing. Keep an eye on your child and calmly correct them frequently until they learn, and they learn quickly. When she goes somewhere new that is somewhat dangerous, we don’t remove her completely from the situation, rather hold her back or move her hand and say “no, not for babies.” Repeat several times as needed and they get it. She’s had more injuries tripping over her own feet at slow speeds in the middle of the safe, clear floor than on the scary fireplace.
