Which is a super soil you can get on Amazon. You’d basically put a layer in the bottom of your pot and pour some potting mix with light nutrients and then the roots of your plant will grow into the fertilizer when they’re old enough. I believe you can top dress with it as well.

Yeah, if you're worried about smell then you're going to need a carbon filter. as for everything else, it looks like the only thing you would need is an oscillating fan and a medium to grow in. You said you were looking for the least amount of trouble so Super Soil might be up your alley. Its maintenance free, doesn't require you to flush because salt buildup is almost nonexistent and the quality is great too. The only thing i'm not crazy about with super soil is that it's hard to scale down for smaller grows because its easier to acquire all the items for the mix in larger amounts, and that compared to using liquid nutes the veg times can be a little slower. they do make pre mixed super soil called "Kind Soil" that's supposed to be amazing.
The only other thing i can think of is that if your only worried about having 1 or 2 plants, bear in mind that your light can only effectively flower a 2x2, so you're gonna have to keep the plants nice and close to each other. other than that, best of luck
