the kingspec one has far from king specs. Its write speed (150MB/s) is significantly slower than most 256 GB SSDs that hover around the $70-$90 price range (including Kingspec's own P-series SSDs, which supposedly have a 520 MB/s write speed). Meanwhile some of the more common desktop hard drives (i.e. Seagate Barracuda) gets write speeds anywhere from 100-150 MB/s which matches this SSD.
At the end of the day, it's $37 for an SSD that'll get you good read performance and probably better boot times, but it's not there to compete with the big boys.
Microsoft says to use an external drive, it MUST BE 256GB or larger.
