I feel your pain! I've had toenails fall off due to psoriasis and have to resign myself to closed toe shoes for a few months. I think 6 months is probably enough time for most of the nail to grow back but it may still look uneven.
I would start looking for a reputable nail technician near you that can make you an acrylic nail to hide the difference in nail length for your wedding and honeymoon. 5 months is plenty of time for something to grow back which they can use to adhere it too. Anyway I hope you don't loose the nail and none of this is necessary!
They make fake toenails! If they do remove your nail, after a few months you might have enough of a nail grown back to attach a fake one. I had an ingrown toenail removed and while it took a long time to come all the way back, there was maybe half a centimeter growth after a month?
