Also would I need to buy the speaker wires to set these up or do they come with wire?
I've already bought the matching [sub] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MH42BBI/), it gets here between Feb. 8 and 13. The matching center and rears I'm going to purchase in a few months to spread out the cost.
So I'm hoping when I get the sub I'll find out that there is nothing wrong the front speaker. I'm thinking at the moment whether I put them as large or small, it's feeding the low end to them and killing them.
I can return the front speakers till March 2nd, so I'll be able to see if the sub fixes it by then. I just figured I'd come on here to see if my suspension were correct.

Yes.
You might be able to get a good deal on the R-10SW. Seems to get discounted more often. For example, https://www.amazon.com/Klipsch-Reference-R-10SW-Powered-Subwoofer/dp/B00MH42BBI/ No reason not to get the bigger sub. for the same money. Will have deeper bass extension.

Totals to around $1300. You could probably get lesser speakers for the rears, as they aren't as important. Could also try to get a better sub, as you have an extra $200 left if you have a $1500 budget. The receiver supports both Dolby Atmos and DTS X, but if you want Atmos you'll need to buy either in ceiling speakers or the ELAC upfiring A4 speaker.
For budget, I’ve been very pleased with my Klipsch 2.1 set up...
