The bass will be better and the speakers should sound better but Im not sure it will get very loud with an amp like that.

If youre going to go that route, at least get a good setup like....

I wouldnt recommend getting one at all, but these should sound better than most and should play louder and cleaner than the above setup. I would probably get a decent 2.0 setup without a sub for now and get that at a later time.

For your needs and the how your room is setup, I recommend to just get a soundbar. Soundbar's are sleek and nice and for your room it would go perfect for it. The best part is the sub woofer is wireless so you can play around with it.

Here are my reccomendations:
VIZIO SmartCast 36" 5.1 Wireless Soundbar System
This is a really amazing soundbar you can get for this price. It's 5.1, it's sleek, and it has amazing sound. The subwoofer is wireless, and the rears hook up to the subwoofer so you dont have to have a long ass cord going to the soundbar.

If you just want a 2.1, you can go with this klipsch soundbar, it sounds great for the price:
