Your tastes seem similar to mine. I don't want to recommend anything I don't know so- I bought this wool couch and it's been excellent.

I did get it for $800 from some unknown website so you may shop around a bit. But anyway, you know you're getting a knockoff version of a much more expensive couch but I've had it a while and can vouch for the quality. It seems to fit your budget and if you really want I believe there are chairs to match.
