Are you completely set on running ethernet? The reason I ask is that you can get a wireless router capable of supporting gigabit for an entire small office environment right now for under $200.

But I cant really speak on how easy either is for normal people to setup, as I do an IT job for a living, and setup far more complex enterprise grade kit on a regular bases.

So you might want to find some reviews first that talk about setting them up to make sure it would be something you would be happy doing.

As for router I recently bought this model and have been very happy https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06X9CPC45/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I almost never have dropouts anymore and my speed more then duobled. (I was replacing a 7 year old budget off brand router, and I also live in the city)
