Thanks so much for the detailed reply! It's extremely helpful. That's really good to know about white flour--I'm pretty good about using whole grains when I cook, but I could definitely work on avoiding white flour more when purchasing prepared food.

Just to check--is the "Smart Rinse" this Listerine product, or something else?

And thanks, too, for the advice about taking things in stages! I think when I first went into the dentist I was somewhat overanxious to get everything done quickly, so it's good to know that it's ok to space some of the major restorative work out over time.
