I really recommend either a MagicYoYo N12 Shark's Honor or the Y01 Node.
Both can be had for under $15 (you can find them pretty cheap on ebay...but they typically have real long shipping times (weeks)...the links above have 2 day amazon prime shipping included). And both play fantastic for the price! You can find some video reviews of each on youtube.
I own a ton of metal throws at this point...many of them are $60+...and these 2 MagicYoYos can compete with many of them as far as performance goes.
It's an awesome way to jump into this hobby at this point as you're getting a great playing yo...without having to invest a ton of money into it. Once you've got the basics down and decide you're going to stick with yoing...then you can always get some of the higher end throws :D.
Of the 2 I suggested, I'd pick the Node.
