You are far better off with a cigar cutter. Anything else and you are likely to get a tear in your cut which can cause the wrapper to come loose and come off as you are smoking. It needs to be razor sharp to get a clean cut. You can get some pretty cheap. This three pack on Amazon has a regular cutter, a V-cut, and a punch. If you get more into cigars, you can find what cut you prefer and upgrade to something better.
