I got the Stirling Iced Pineapple soap sample free in my last shipment. I love menthol/glacial soaps, ordered all from Stirling except this one -- living in a tropical region, I wasn't sure about getting something with a popular smell. But in the end I did end up with a small sample, and I couldn't be happier.
I didn't plan to take a photo to post but changed my mind while shaving. And since we're in the tropical theme, I grabbed a couple of leaves from one pineapple plant and a piece of mint from the garden to use as prop. That changes from my usual boring photos.
The soap itself smells veryyyyy ripe pineapple, like something you'd want to take a bite of. The pineapple scent is very dominant over the menthol scent as opposed to the mentholateum-balm smell of Frozen Tundra (I haven't shaved with it yet, stay tuned).
I guess I say that in all my SOTDs, but Stirling Soaps are great at lathering. The pineapple scent gets less pronounced in the lather. After applying the lather you'd start to feel the menthol burn on your face. More burns when you're lathering for your next passes.
Did three passes and I was done. The final cold water splash to wash off the remaining lather off my face felt great. Finished with alum followed by Nivea after shave balm and some Eau de Toilette.
