I think it may depend on what you need it for.
I have severe pelvic pain, and my OB said to get one. This is what I got first. My physical therapist said it's not exactly the right one, but it could work with some modification. I've heard someone else say that she'll use this type when she goes for runs, so to me it seems like more of a bump/back support.
I then found one similar to this(this isn't the exact same one but same concept) at WalMart, and I like this one so much better. The one I linked above was so complicated to put on and a pain when using the bathroom(and you know that happens a million times a day lol). This new one is not complicated, and just feels better all around.
I have this one from Amazon. It's the second one I've tried and I quite like it.
