I have PCOS and have been shaving my face for over 20 years; I can tell ya that safety razors are the way to go. That and a nice, slick shaving lotion/cream/soap. there's a bit of a learning curve (you will nick yourself, at first), but I'll never go back to reg razors. I watched a lotta "wet shaving" videos on YT and it helped a lot. Since the blade doesn't pivot, nor flex, ya gotta find the right angles.

In the past, I'd use a Mach3 and I'd have to plan a 45mins-1hr of time to let my face "settle down" from being sore, red, blotchy, and totally razor burned. I'd get little bumps and ingrown hairs in the hollows of my cheeks and corners of my chin; it was just a mess. I've been wet shaving for 5 years, now, and I can actually shave in under 5 mins, go out the door, and not have to worry about being irritated.

Gillette Silver Blue blades
Kiss My Face Moisture Shave lotion

Is neither an option? Many of these Twist to Open razors are rebranded Weishes. Your Van der Hagen from CVS certainly is. You would be buying the same razor. The Vikings looks cool, but same thing. The quality will be much better with a different razor.

I would highly recommend these two. The Edwin Jagger would be my #1 pick.
