u/writevli - I would start out by adapting your internally stabilised Canon EF lenses with a 789€ Metabones Speedbooster. This will give you lens-based image stabilisation and save you a lot of money.

Here are a couple of examples shot with the BMPCC 4K, a Metabones T Ultra 0.71x Speedbooster and adapted EF glass:

  • Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K : A Flower of Life by Sittipong Kongtong (2160p - shot mostly handheld with a Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8 optically stabilized lens)
  • Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K - First TEST by ProAV (4K - shot with a Samyang 85mm T1.5 manual lens)

Hi /u/bobbythecount, I think you'd be very happy with the GH5 with a Speedbooster Ultra so that you can use your Canon lenses.

I would then get this Sigma lens to add to your lens collection. Not only is it a beautiful lens, but it will help with low light.

I made the move from a t3i to a GH4 years ago and the transition was amazing.
