I have this Moleskine planner that I bought a few weeks into Fall 2013 (after spending years trying to find a nice one) and I think it's exactly what you're looking for. The left page is the weekly view (with nice-sized blocks; I have big handwriting and I had 4 classes in 1 day last semester and it all fit), and the right is lined for anything else you need to write in, like extra details and to-do's that come up.
And it's Moleskine, so you know you're getting something great. I've already bought my 2015 planner (which is unfortunately a bit smaller than the x-large, but it's hardcover and from the Le Petit Prince line), even though my current one will get me through Fall 2014.
