Hm.....so I'm assuming you have larger ears, and are worried about the comfort of the Neos. Totally fair point, makes sense.

Yes. If you want to try planar the m560 fit in the bottom of your budget. If you want to go higher the M1060 are a big deal over those. But right now price and availability vary.

I thought I read that the Monoliths have reliability issues. You should look through the 1, 2, and 3 star reviews at Amazon and see what is going on with them: https://www.amazon.com/Monolith-M560-Planar-Magnetic-Headphones/dp/B01MSH781C/
/r/zeos has a headphone guide. I'd say one of these would be good assuming you want open back: (in no particular order)
I don't remember how Zeos said these sound so one of the other 500 series might fit you better but this is the only one under budget.edit: just watched and this will be good for youThey're mostly fixed but since the fix is still relatively new a lot of people either have the old version or haven't had the new one for a long time, it's definitely still worth knowing.
It's pretty much plug and play without any amp. Just yeah make sure Extreme quality is on because that gives you the standard 320Kb/s sample rate. Other than that there's not a whole lot. I would turn off all EQing first if you use any and mess with the Volume Level/Normalization. I find with volume normalization it can effect the sound of the song a tad though I'm not sure how accurate that is, figured it couldn't hurt to give it a go.
One more thing that I forgot to mention is that these are open headphones. I thought your original comment didn't care about isolation but that was a different comment I replied to. One negative about these headphones and open headphones in general is they let a lot of sound in and out. There's not a lot between the outside and the headphone driver so people can hear your music and you can hear them. Planars specifically tend to be really loud from the outside, too, as I believe planars send more sound in both directions rather than all being directed towards your head. The M1060 is the loudest headphone I've heard from the outside and they definitely let a decent amount of sound in. Open are great because they sound more open and ambient, have more room and space to the sound usually with a wider sounstage while closed have great isolation, closer soundstage and a more intimate/analytical sound.
Now they do have a closed version, the M1060C but the reviews are very mixed on those. They don't seem to be nearly as good as the open which is unfortunate. Another option, though is the M560. They're a lot cheaper so they won't sound as good as the M1060 but from what I can tell is they sound similar, so you should get the roughly same experience but of a bit lesser quality. They also have the option of making them open by taking off the wood cover. Sorry about that :(. If you want different recommendations for closed headphones I can send you some.
